4 sessions discussing the challenges of economic sector at Women's Economic Forum 2011
Organized by the Chamber under the patronage of Her Highness Princess Jawaher Bint Nayef
Asharqia Chamber organizing on April 26 to 27, 2011 a forum entitled: "Women Economic Forum 2011" under the patronage of Her Highness Princess Jawaher Bint Nayef, in regard to (Women's Economic Empowerment) at the Chamber headquarter in Dammam ,where it will discuss challenges and obstacles facing the economic development of women in the region, also deals with a number of most important themes (Women and her efficient role ,Businesswomen organizations and associations and her initiative role in the family businesses).
The forum which is being held for the third time will improve the investment environment and the economic role expected by women, and explore her opportunities and potential contribution in the Eastern Region… Also will highlight within its 4 sessions held over two days to monitor women investment trends between traditional and priorities of economic growth.
Nonetheless; forum will involve a selection of specialists speakers in the Arab world in which will address a number of important issues concerning the status of women and their economic role…as it will also discuss issues that have contributed in reducing the amount of women's participation in local investments, noting that forum will reveal obstacles Impeding investment work for women, most notably the confusion between legislation and traditions as well as ways of creating competitiveness.
Though; forum will discuss challenges facing the development of women economic role in the region, and looking for available opportunities and possibilities to the contribution of entrepreneurs and businesswomen in the Eastern region in order to discuss improving the investment environment and the economic role expectancy for women will also review the needs of businesswomen and ways to remove obstacles facing women so as to support the overall development process and the achievement of women's participation in economic life.
